Starting your own beer brand doesn't mean you have to build your own brewery and make huge investments first. In fact, one of the original ideas behind United Gypsies Brewery was just the opposite: We want to give as many brewers as possible the opportunity to make and sell their own beer without a huge initial investment in their own production facility.
This idea also gives rise to the itinerant brewery model.
What is a traveling brewery?
A traveling brewery is a beer brand or brewer that does not necessarily have its own brewing equipment. The beers are brewed in collaboration with an existing brewery.
At our brewery in Lohja, the idea is to offer itinerant breweries more than just production capacity. We want to offer a home where you can build your own beer brand.
In practice, you will get to develop your own recipes, participate in the production of beer in an agreed manner with our brewery, and build products under your own name and brand. We have production equipment and expertise from recipes and manufacturing to packaging and practical brewing operations.
This means that the threshold for establishing a new brewery brand is significantly lower than for building your own brewery.
Custom beer can be produced from scratch
Of course, not everyone needs to start their own brewery brand. With the same production model, we can also produce completely customized, i.e. custom beers for companies, restaurants, events and other operators.
If you want your own recipe, we can start designing a beer together, starting from the style, hopping and taste. If you want to make your own beer as easily as possible, you can use an existing beer and build your own look and label around it.

At the very least, own-label beers can be produced already In batches of 120 pieces, while completely unique recipes are produced in larger production batches.
We want to enable the creation of new breweries
The name United Gypsies Brewery already says a lot about where the idea came from.
There are a huge number of skilled homebrewers and brewery experts in Finland who may have a great recipe or an entire brand in mind. However, the next step to commercial production can seem daunting.
We want to make that step smaller.
You can focus on beer, recipes, sales and building your own brand. We provide a fully functioning brewery, equipment and expertise.
So if you've been thinking about starting your own beer brand, your first investment doesn't have to be your own brewing equipment. The first step can simply be a good beer idea and passion.
