Haave originated from apples ripened in the historic apple orchard of Omenatila Krappe, which is over 250 years old and located on the island of Lohja. The 2022 autumn harvest was pressed and frozen outdoors in January 2023, and the juice was deep-frozen and concentrated using the traditional ice cider method, which naturally condenses the aromas and sweetness. This results in a unique drink that we call Haave Ice Cider.
The drink has been aged for 6 months in French Calvados barrels (which previously held 9-year-old Calvados from the Pays d'Auge region of Normandy) and then 6 months in steel tanks, which has brought refined balance, soft barrel aromas and elegant tannins to the taste.
Haave has no added sulfites. It is a naturally sweet, refreshing and multidimensional ice cider with refined tannins and depth – the perfect drink to accompany desserts or for meditative moments on its own.
